Educational and social intervention is increasingly presented as a critical, conscious, and responsible practice beyond technical remedial procedures. Currently, there are robust intervention models based on rigorous field research, which are continually tested daily. The target organizations of educational and social intervention need to modernize better to serve the communities of the desideratum of this need is the awareness that the intervention must be based on rationally managed projects. Communities are increasingly moving towards higher levels of citizenship, where strategies of innovation, entrepreneurship, network learning. Assert themselves as solid foundations for development. In this way, a socially integrated developmental dynamic is privileged in this area as the core scope of community intervention. They are focusing on Education, Society, and Intervention.

MPIES aims to contribute to the development of academic, scientific, and professional competence of masters and graduates in multiple areas of knowledge, in an articulated and integrated manner, striving for interdisciplinarity, through the instrumentalization for the realization of educational and social interventions that contemplate new contexts of learning and new forms of subjectivity and community organization in public and private sector spaces.

Candidates for the course should preferably be professionals from areas related to those that make up the concentration area. On the other hand, the professional profile to be trained is functionally structured at the levels of sensitivity and social responsibility towards educational and social issues, operational skills for diagnosing and planning interventions, and their implementation, evaluation, and improvement. These professionals must be able to intervene in situations where there are preventive and remedial needs in terms of optimal human and social development standards, ensuring favorable conditions to reach stages of well-being and quality of life.

The periodicity of selection of the Master’s Degree in Educational and Social Intervention at UNEB Campus XI will be annual, initially offering 10 (ten) places. The duration will be a maximum of 24 (twenty-four months); corresponding to 4 (four) academic semesters, during which 42 credits must be paid, distributed by the following activities:

8 (eight) Credits in compulsory subjects;

4 (four) mandatory line course credits;

8 (eight) Credits in Elective courses;

Seminars and Colloquiums (Mandatory activities without crediting);

10 (ten) Credits from Supervised Activities; 12 (twelve) Course Completion Credits.
